Brave Design is an award-winning manufacturer of contemporary lighting in Montreal, Quebec. Inspired by the interplay of light and shape, the company uses advanced materials to create sculptural light fixtures that uniquely transform a space. For Brave, the user is an important part of the design process and may be called upon to choose and manipulate the shape of their fixture.

Since its inception in 2002, Brave Design has been building momentum in the market, as the public and the design community discover their products. The designers have been invited to participate in over a dozen international exhibitions, featured in numerous publications, and won several major design awards.

Brave Design’s designers can create custom fixtures, special lighting installations and consulting for interior designs and architectural projects.

Andrea White is best known for conceiving the unique forms of the FLX lamp. Prior to founding Brave Design, Andrea worked in Milan as a graphic designer for Prada where she mastered the art of simplifying ideas to their most basic form. For this young designer lighting is equal parts function and fun.

Robert White has over 30 years experience consulting in lighting design and architecture. At the Centre for Building Studies, Concordia University, Robert has taught and conducted research in lighting, energy conservation and green design. His many projects include large urban complexes, interiors, galleries and sports complexes. For Robert, lighting at its best brings together innovation and emotion to create poetic three-dimensional environments.
